About

Source Loop is the origin passport for commodity supply chains.

Source Loop gives every bag of coffee, and eventually every unit of any agricultural commodity, a verifiable record of where it came from, who handled it, and what is true about it. Buyers see what they are buying. Producers see what is said about them. Regulators see compliance-grade data. Consumers see the chain in their hands.

Why we built it

Claims and evidence, kept separate.

Most traceability today is a marketing claim wrapped around a database. Source Loop separates the claim from the evidence and makes the evidence visible. The L1 to L5 verification ladder is the spine of that separation. Every fact on a passport says what level it stands at. Nothing is rounded up.

How we are different

Three things that distinguish the system.

We anchor passports to a public proof layer rather than storing them in a private database. Anyone can confirm that a record exists and has not been altered.

We separate producer-side data sensitivity from buyer-side due diligence needs. Producers retain control over what is published. Buyers still get the data they need to satisfy EUDR and similar obligations.

We treat the institutions in a chain as first-class objects, not metadata. Every cooperative, washing station, processor, exporter, and roaster on Source Loop has its own registry profile.
